Frosty the Snowman

8 Days Till Christmas

I like Frosty and all though when I was a very little kid I remember seeing trailers for the movie Jack Frost. A movie where a father dies and comes back as a snowman. Though the trailers show a snowman coming to life and it scared the crap out me. That winter when I went to my Uncle and Aunts cabin and we made a snowman, I afraid it was going to come to life.

The Nutcracker and the Mouse King

9 Days Till Christmas

I got some white-out in some areas obviously, it ended up messing up my coloring.
I actually based this nutcracker on my own nutcracker. I got it from St. Nicholas when I was a little kid.  The thing actually used to scare me, not sure why.

Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer.

12 Days Till Christmas
Starting off my Christmas Countdown I have draw Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. In case you didn't know, earlier this month (December 6) was the 50th anniversary of the Rankin/Bass TV special. My dad and I celebrated by watching the special as we decorated our Christmas tree.

12 days till Christmas Countdown

Back in October, my Illustration teacher had us draw a monsters everyday for the mouth. Which has inspired me to do a similar thing with Christmas , with some altercations. Such as having only drawing for the days leading up to Christmas eve and instead of monsters I will be drawing those classic Christmas characters that everyone thinks of when they think of Christmas. Though I am trying to stick with characters that originated from stories or songs, instead of characters that originated from movies, like Jack Skeleton from the Nightmare Before Christmas and Gismo from Gremlins. Let's begin!
