Inktober Day 31 (Final Day)

Happy Halloween!!

I saved this guy for last. It's none other then the Radiant Hero, Ike.

Ike is my #1 Smash main and I hold a lot of sentimental value

for him. Back in the early days of Smash Brawl I mostly played as Zelda and

Kirby because I played them a lot Melee. Then at some point, not sure when,I 

started using Ike and he worked well for me and thus he became my Smash main.

When Smash Wii U was coming, I felt bad that Ike was my main and yet I never

played the games in his franchise or knew what they were about. This would lead me to

playing Fire Emblem Awakening and thus I fell in love with the Fire Emblem series. 

I would move onto Fates,Sacred Stones, Shadows of Valentia, Blazing Blade; but I

was dying to play the games that stared Ike himself. Problem is 

Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn are hard games to come by and

also expensive. Though thanks to a friend I managed to get Path of Radiance and I finally 

got to see Ike's story. I played it threw it in  July and August and loved the time I had with it.

Then in September for my birthday another friend got me Radiant Dawn and I'm still 

currently playing it. Now with Smash Ultimate almost here, I'll be playing as Ike 

yet again but now knowing who he actually is. 

This was a fun time. I'm proud I was able to put out a drawing everyday.

I was scared I would fall out at some point. Drawing some of these characters was 

a real challenge. I hope you all enjoyed this series.

Here he is, finally King Dedede, nah just kidding it's King K. Rool. 

Another character I don't have any personal attachment to, 

but again fans wanted him and now he is finally playable

in Smash Bros. Again happy for all those who wanted him.

Inktober Day 26

NOW IT'S SHULK TIME!!!

I'm really feeling it, for this monado boy. He was my third favorite

character to play as and my second best character in Smash Wii U.

Because I liked playing him so much, as well as word of mouth on 

Youtube, I picked up the Xenoblade Chronicles games.  I have enjoyed

what I have play of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2,

just need to finish them. Sadly what happens is either another game

grabs my attention(mostly the Fire Emblem games) or just busy school.

Still I do want to beat these games and I'm determined to do so,

it's just a matter of time.

Inktober Day 25

It's Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog.

The addition of Sonic to Smash Bros Brawl,

was something truly magical back in 

in the day. Mario and Sonic were intense 

rivals back in 90s. Then when Sonic got added to Smash Bros 

fans could finally have these two beloved characters beat 

each other up. It really is amazing all the third party characters

that followed after Sonic and Snake.

Now we have the one only, Cloud Strife.

This addition still blows my mind. I mean Cloud of Final

Fantasy is in a game with Link, Mario, Pikachu.WOW!

I still have yet to play Final Fantasy 7 for myself, been 

meaning to, but next year it and others are coming to Switch.

Today we have characters that are cute and deadly, the Villagers and Isabelle.

The memes surrounding Villager are hilarious. Playing as Villager 

is fun just because of how of those memes. Now we also have

the most precious secretary Isabelle too. I can't wait to play as her.

Inktober Day 22

It's the Hero of Hyrule and holder of the Triforce of Courage, Link.

This one is particularly special, because Link is the main of my dad.

I myself could never play Link very well. I did better with Young Link and

Toon Link somehow, but default Link and I never worked out. Still

the important thing is my dad plays him pretty well, then when we play 

the games together we have fun.

Inktober Day 21

Now for one of the most sexy and badass characters in video games, Bayonetta.

Wow, it still amazes me that Bayonetta of all characters got in. 

Anytime people brought up the possibility I said to myself, "There's

no way. Bayonetta is too sexy to be in Smash Bros." Boy was 

I wrong. With her and Cloud Strife of Final Fantasy making it in,

anybody can get in.

I played I bit of the first Bayonetta never finished it. I want to get the switch 

port eventually, just got other games to play at the moment. Now with Smash Ultimate

I'll finally get to play as her. I was too cheep to get the DLC fighters.

PK Fire! PK Thunder! PK STARSTORM!!!!!!

Yes it's Nessa and Lucas of the beloved Mother/EarthBound series.

These two are pretty tough to play as in Smash Bros, but

I still try now and then. 

I have much respect for the Mother series and the love it has.

I played most of Mother 2/EarthBound and while I liked it,

I didn't find myself loving like others have and do. 

Still I did find it incredibly charming.

Meanwhile Mother 3 has still not been 

released in the West. All we can do is wait.

I really do want to play it for myself. Yes there is the fan translation, 

which is incredible how fans got together and produced.

 I just don't like to/know how to emulate games. 

Still I have hope the West will see Mother 3 officially someday.

Inktober Day 19

And now we have the face of the Fire Emblem series

as well as Chrom and Lucina's ancestor, Marth.

Because this guy and a boy named Roy were playable

in Smash Bros Melee, Fire Emblem came to Western territories. 

While Fire Emblem did struggle for a time in the following years and

nearly die, it eventually found its way. Now it's a major success,

with a great mobile game, a new entry coming in 2019, and currently 7 

representatives in Smash Bros Ultimate (9 if you include

 Robin and Corrin's gender variants). 

I still remember unlocking Marth back in Melee. My dad and I had 

no idea who he was. Then when heard him speak Japanese in victory 

animation, and we bursted out laughing. Just because it was so random, compared

to the grunts and occasional English from other fighters. Sadly I don't use 

Marth even though he is a solid character to play as. In Brawl I 

fell in love with Ike and always chose him over Marth. Then in 

Wii U Lucina got added and she basically plays just like Marth,

but I'll always chose her over Marth simply for my love of her as a character.

Inktober Day 18

Today we have two popular Pokemon, Lucario and Mewtwo.

I pick these two up for fun once in a while when playing 

Smash, but I'm not good with them at all. 

 

I of course have a lot of nostalgia for Mewtwo, since I was 

a very little kid when Pokemon first came out. 

I still remember seeing Pokemon:The First Movie

in theaters. I also watched it a lot at home.

Lucario came out at a time I wasn't in to Pokemon.

Though one day in late middle school/early

High School I was sick at home and Pokemon: 

Lucario and the Mystery of Mew came on TV. 

I decided to watch it and really enjoyed it.

Inktober Day 17

Today we have the galactic bounty hunter, Samus Aran.

*sigh* This one gave me a lot of trouble. My

original concept was to have half the figure be Samus and 

the other half to be Dark Samus (Like my Robin drawing). 

Then when I was looking at pictures

of Dark Samus, I had trouble figuring out how to capture the

details of her suit. So I scraped the idea and just drew 

normal Samus. Still a good challenge, not used to drawing metal armor.

Inktober Day 16

Today we have the Princess of Hyrule and holder of Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda.

Do I even need to say how cute this design for Zelda is?

Though I love Zelda because I love the Legend of Zelda series, I also love

playing her in Smash. Granted I played as her more in Melee and the early

days of Brawl, but I still choose her every now and then.

Today shines the Goddess of Light, Lady Palutena. 

I love Lady Palutena; she kind,funny, beautiful...

Sadly as much as I love her character, I

didn't care much for her play style in

Smash Wii U. Though from the Smash Ultimate

showcase at E3 it seems her move set received some adjustments,

so hopefully she'll be better. I also look forward to some

new Palutena's Guidance conversations. Those are great!

Inktober Day 14

Today we have the father and daughter Lords, Chrom and Lucina.

These two are very special to me. I absolutely love Fire Emblem Awakening, 

and these two are big reason why. Their Father/Daughter relationship reminded

me a lot of my own relationship with my own father.

The scene of them reuniting warms my heart 

every time and is my favorite scene in the game.  

In Smash Wii U Lucina was my 4th main. While Chrom's

cameos were fun, it was sad to not play as him. When he was revealed

to be a playable character in Ultimate, I screamed in happiness.

Now I'll be able to enjoy both of them in the world of Smash. 

I really can't wait to see who I'm better with.

Working Toward Your Dreams (sign)

This week in my Color and Concept class

we discussed signs. Then we had to create

our own signs. I wanted to make something 

happy/positive and this idea came from

my own insecurities. I've been in college for

quiet awhile now and feel insecure from

time to time about it and how I don't have my degree yet.

But my parents and friends tell I'm doing fine 

and the fact I'm working to it is a real good thing.

wasn't a character I was rooting

for. Though I know Metroid is a 

beloved series and people really 

wanted Ridley in the game, so I definitely 

am happy for those fans.

Today we have the happy addition that is Pac-Man

Seriously seeing his reveal trailer for the first

time  brought happiness to my heart.

 And seeing a guy like this fight along side other

classic video game characters is what Smash Bros

is all about.

Time to tips the scales, it's Robin. 

A special character to me, as Robin is my

2nd favorite character to play as

and 3rd best character in turms

of my playing abilities. My best friend and

I love to  play Robin vs. Robin matches 

with each other. 

 

At the time of Smash Wii U release I didn't

have a Wii U. So I got Fire Emblem Awakening

instead. In the end it was for the best I play Awakening first,

for it introduced me to this tactician and more importantly

started my love of Fire Emblem.

I'm really happy for Ultimate they're

incarnation, as well as making his Ganon form his final

Response to "Here Comes the Sun"

This was an in-class assignment. We talked about how music

can influence our minds into seeing colors.  So we 

had to bring in a song that makes up think of 

colors when we hear them. My choice was

Here Comes the Sun, by the Beatles. Whenever

I hear this song I think of the colors cyan and neon yellow. 

I did have those exact colors in paint but I tried for 

something close. Though this is the design I made

inspired by the song.

 INKTOBER 2018

 

It's October, meaning Inktober. 

With all the hype surrounding Super Smash Bros Ultimate

 coming this December, I decided Smash Bros

 would be my theme for this Inktober. 

Everyday I'll draw a different character or multiple 

characters from the roster. 

 With only 31 day and close to 70 characters

 I sadly won't be able to draw everyone,but hopefully

I'll draw someone you like.
