Light and Shadow practice

I haven't been able to upload much work the past month or two. I've been too busy with school to draw. Though here is something my Drawing teacher suggested to me for when I draw my cartoon character. I'm trying to get better at shading, so one thing my teacher suggested I could do for practice is to use dolls and shine a light on them. That way I could see how light and shadows hit the face. Here are some of the results. I used two of my old Barbie dolls, but altered their eyes, noses, and mouths . This was also good for drawing different hairstyles.
